Meet the jury: Marta Alcañiz

23rd edition of International Design Contest   

With a considerable professional career, the head of the Design team at BBVA Spain, Marta Alcañiz, joins this edition as a member of the jury

Marta Alcañiz, head of the Design team at BBVA Spain, is the latest addition to the jury for the 23rd Andreu World International Design Contest. Her track record is considerable, with almost 30 years of experience working as a leader in design teams in well-known companies such as Terra and Telefónica España.

 

As head of Design at BBVA Spain, she has been instrumental in achieving excellence in customer experience, integrating creativity, technology and design. Her mission has been to drive BBVA's customer-centric vision and strategy, empowering teams to make design a key tool for transformation and differentiation. Thanks to her leadership, BBVA's Design team has been recognized for four consecutive years as the best Banking Application in the World according to the consulting firm Forrester and it obtained a Special Mention in Spain's Premio Nacional de Diseño 2020. 

 

Her areas of expertise include Digital Brand Strategy, Strategic Design, Service Design, Digital Product Design, User Experience (UX), Accessibility and Inclusive Design. 

 

The addition of Marta Alcañiz to the judging panel adds a unique and valuable perspective, ensuring that projects are evaluated with a holistic approach that combines innovation, functionality and accessibility. Her commitment to excellence in user experience and her ability to integrate design and technology will be crucial in selecting the best designs that not only meet high standards of quality and originality, but also reflect an advanced and transformative vision.

Circular Design® Challenge

 

The latest edition of the Andreu World Design Contest is aligned with the Circular Design® Challenge, which is now its main priority. With one major change to ensure that this contest is up to the challenge they face: the prize for the winner will be 20,000 euros.

 

The prize will be awarded for the design of a seat and/or a table made and designed for the circular economy.
