The value of time is fundamental in all aspects of our work. Of all the processes involved in the processing of wood, which is a living material, drying is possibly the least known – essential for preventing it from cracking in the future – and the one that requires the most patience. Like wine, wood requires a natural processing time in combination with technology, away from sunlight, which must be slow and can make big differences depending on how it is carried out. From1 to 2 years for beech, 2 to 3 years for ash and 3 to 5 years for oak are necessary to ensure stable behavior of the components that make up our products, wherever in the world they are destined for and whatever the climatic conditions. We offer timeless design with a manufacturing process that guarantees maximum longevity.
If we count the actual time it takes to manufacture a chair, taking into account the drying process to stabilize the moisture content of the wood, we realize that it has to be measured in years. It would be centuries if we also added the time a tree needs to grow and become timber. The large ones can reach impressive dimensions.
There are pieces of furniture where time seems to materialize and become visible. It takes many years of apprenticeship to become a true virtuoso of woodworking. The design of this sculptural-looking table is by Piergiorgio Cazzaniga, who was born in 1946 and has accumulated an extensive experience working hand in hand with craftsmen in their workshops. Even so, that was not enough and in order to realize this piece we have retrieved the know-how of an octogenarian master cabinetmaker. The base is assembled by means of triangular section slats in a technique similar to cooperage, using the best ash wood, which enhances its expressiveness. The top is constructed with curved pieces of solid wood, placed radially and fitted together with such precision that they look like a work of art.

Reverse Wood collection
Fixed and side tables made of solid ash wood. Available in different diameters: 5.2ft, 5.9ft and 6.5ft (160, 180 and 200 cm. The top surface, which can be swiveled, is adorned with a center in a contrasting material, such as Calacatta marble. To be used as a meeting table, connectivity and multimedia solutions are also available as options.
