How do I get in contact with the competition’s organizer?
Questions about the competition can be sent to contest@andreuworld.com.
For any questions about a submitted project, the correspondence must include the participation number and the email used for registration
What size is 1:5 scale?
It is a proportional reproduction smaller than the actual chair or table design size. If the chair measures 52x46x83 cm, 1:5 scale would be (52 divided by 5, 46÷5 and 83÷5) = 10x9x17 cm.
Will the projects be returned? When?
Yes.
The projects can be collected by the creators from the Andreu World headquarters between 2 January 2026 and 30 January 30 2026.
Participants must give at least three business days' notice to allow Andreu World to prepare the projects for transport.

What are the prizes?

We have a design studio. Can we enter the competition?
Yes, you can. There is no objection subject to compliance with the requirements of the briefing and complete the registration on our website, indicating the names of the people who will be signing the project.
What is the registration procedure for groups?
One member of the group should complete the application form with all his/her details, obtaining the participant number required for entry. Then you must click in the ‘Multiple participants’ option and add the names of the other participants.
Can I register by another method other than the internet?
No. The only way to register is by completing the online aplication form on the website.
If I participated in the competition last year, can I compete again this year?
Yes, you can. There is no objection subject to compliance with the requirements of the briefing and complete the registration on our website, indicating the names of the people who will be signing the project.
What materials should I send?
- To our offices: A model in 1:5 scale. Remember to reference the participant number on the model and in the shipping box.
- By e-mail: Technical report and/or a video.
Technical report
At minimum, the technical report must contain the following:
Participant number
Image of design
Design description
The report may also include any of these items:
Project name
Seating or table objectives
Production costs
Compliance with intended functions
Ergonomics
Innovative elements
Any information that the participant believes could improve the project
The following information is prohibited:
Personal or studio name(s), this includes logos
Personal address (except on the package in which you send the mockup)
What is the closing date for receipt of projects?
The deadline is 28 November 2025 for projects delivered to Andreu World headquarters in Spain.
Projects sent from the United States or Asia must arrive by 14 November 2025 to the US and Japan offices.
How should projects be sent?
By the most appropriate and the safest means of transportation possible, or delivered in person to our offices.
Each contestant must pay the costs of postage and packaging when sending their project to our facilities. No unpaid freight will be accepted.

Should my name appear on the project?
Your name should not appear on the project or on any material presented in order to guarantee the transparency of the project.
The participant number from assigned to your project is the only information that should appear on the prototype and the material presented.
Can I enter more than one project for the competition?
Sure. No problem. The only requirement is that you have to obtain a separate identification number for each model you present.
What happens if my project arrives after the closing date for entries?
If your project arrives after the closing date of the contest, it may be kept for the following edition if you wish.
First of all, if this happens, you will be informed. Subsequently, your project may be kept for the following edition.
What should I keep in mind when mailing my entry?
In the case of the shipment of international projects, some courier companies require the participant to have a customer number to make payment for the transport.
In addition to the cost from the courier company, there may be costs incurred by customs.
These customs duties depend directly on the commercial value that you attribute to your project.
Andreu World, will not bear any costs relating to the transportation, insurance, taxes, customs fees, etc.
If my prototype arrives in poor conditions or is damaged during delivery, will I be disqualified?
No. All models received, providing they fulfil all our requirements, can take part in the competition regardless of the state in which they arrive. However, Andreu World, shall not be responsible for the state or condition of scale models resulting from problems during transportation.
In order to ensure that models arrive in the best possible condition, we recommend that you send your project in impact-resistant packaging with appropriate cushioning against accidents (eg. a box made from reinforced cardboard, for example).
In any case, it is advisable that the mockup does not make contact with the sides of the box.
Can I make my model in a material that is different from what is indicated in the briefing?
The materials that can be used for the projects are included in the competition rules. The use of sustainable and innovative materials will be valued, as well as the use of wood, and those with a low environmental footprint.
Will project boxes and packages be saved or returned?
No. The boxes and packaging in which the models are received will be removed at the time of arrival, to guarantee the requirement of anonymity, since in most cases, the packaging will contain personal data.
Can I name my project?
Yes. In addition to labeling your documentation and model with the participation number, you can assign a name to your project. Remember that the following information should not appear in the documentation: name, pseudonym or any personal identiying information (or that of the design studio).
