Participants
Students and design professionals from anywhere in the world can participate, with no age limit.
Objective
This edition, which celebrates the 25th anniversary of the contest, aims to create furniture designed for the circular economy, with a positive impact on people and the planet. It promotes designs that combine creativity, functionality, and respect for the environment.
The projects submitted must reflect Andreu World's values: good design, innovation, sustainability, and responsible production.
Contestants may submit a design for a chair and/or table that meets these principles.
Design briefing
Specific details and project requirements are available in the product briefing found in the “Talent | Design Contest” menu.
Registration
Registration will be carried out using the registration form available on the website:
Registration is unique and personal
A) If you are entering for the first time:
- Go to the Entry form section
- Fill out the registration form and click “Submit.”
- When you confirm the form, a personal file will be generated for the contestant, which will be used to access the contest section of our website at any time.

- If the contestant is participating through a school or university, they must indicate the name of the school or university during registration.
- Once registered, contestants can log in with their personal password to view and modify their details in the following section.
- It is possible to submit a group project. To do so, only one person from the team needs to complete the registration form and check the “Group work” option, filling in the personal details of the other participants. The rest of the members will not need to register individually.
The personal data of each contestant will be processed exclusively for internal purposes by Andreu World. It will not be transferred to third parties and will only be used for communications related to the activities of Andreu World.
B-If you have previously participated:
Contestants who have participated in previous editions can access the site through the “returning contestants” section.
-To access, simply enter your existing username and password.
- Fill in the title and description fields to generate a new participation code.
Registration and Participant Number
Registration for the Andreu World 2026 International Design Contest is completed after obtaining the code with the participant number. Once identified on the website, contestants can view and request their participant numbers (example: 2026-1) in the “Participant number” section of the “Registration” menu.
Each contestant may submit different projects using a single number or assign a different number to each project, as they choose. There is no limit to the number of numbers that can be requested. All designs must include the assigned participant number.
All projects will be excluded that:
- Do not indicate the participant number on any of the material sent.
- Submit a number that does not appear in the contest database.
- Include any personal information in the documentation sent.
- Do not include the technical report or model.
- Have a model that does not comply with the 1:5 scale.
All material that forms part of the project must be clearly identified with the participant's number, including the model, technical report, shipping box, and any other items sent.
Project
The materials required to enter the contest are as follows:
- Prototype of the proposed piece at a scale of 1:5.
- Technical report on the project.
It may include plans, diagrams, sketches, renderings, images, and video presentations.
The technical report must be sent by email to contest@andreuworld.com, indicating the participant number in the subject line. To facilitate the submission of the technical report, the use of file transfer platforms such as WeTransfer, OneDrive, and Google Drive is permitted. Innovative contributions will be evaluated in relation to the following aspects: originality of design, sustainability, and use of materials for the circular economy. Designs must be conceived in such a way that they can be mass-produced. They must be original and unreleased, i.e., they must not have been produced previously.
Video presentation
The video presentation is optional but recommended and will be viewed favorably. The ability to convey the concept of the project, as well as the clarity of the presentation, will be evaluated. If a person appears in the video, their face may not be shown.
Technical requirements for the video:
- Maximum duration: 2 minutes
- Recording format: Panoramic (horizontal)
- Minimum resolution: 1080p (1920x1080)
– Maximum resolution: 2160p (3840x2160)
- Maximum file size: 1 GB
- Format: Any video file format is supported.
Optionally, participants may submit a second video in vertical format (1080x1920), intended for possible use on Andreu World's social media channels if they are selected as winners. Videos must be sent along with the technical report to the following email address: contest@andreuworld.com or via data transfer platforms such as WeTransfer, OneDrive, or Google Drive. The videos submitted by participants shall be free of agreements, contracts, licenses, encumbrances, or liens and shall not be registered with any collective rights management organizations (national or international). The videos must not infringe on the intellectual and/or industrial property rights of third parties, exempting Andreu World from any liability in the event of a claim by third parties. Andreu World is authorized, without any compensation, exclusively and with the ability to transfer to third parties, for its dissemination and public communication, as well as its subsequent editing and distribution in any format and online and offline media.

Participants may send their models to any of the following addresses, depending on their proximity, taking into account the delivery deadlines established for each one.
Shipping to head offices (Spain):
The model must be sent to Andreu World by post or courier. It can also be delivered in person to our premises before Wednesday 16 September 2026.

Shipping/Return Instructions
Each contestant will bear the full shipping costs of their submitted project(s).
To avoid costs and/or customs delays for projects sent from outside Spain, the following tariff code must always be included in the shipment: HS Code 9023.00
In the description, indicate:
- “Model for International Design Contest Andreu World – Non commercial – Educational/exhibition material” “Design prototype – No commercial value”
- Do declare a symbolic value (eg. 1 EUR or 1 USD).
It is mandatory to declare a value, even if it is not commercial.
We recommend that projects be packaged securely and robustly to minimize possible damage during transport.
Under no circumstances will Andreu World manage or be responsible for the payment of any costs arising from shipping and returns, such as transport, insurance, taxes, fees, customs, freight, etc.
Prizes
The following prizes will be awarded:
- 1st prize of 5,000€
- 2nd prize of 2,500€
- 3 special mentions
To be awarded by a jury made up of professionals from various fields: design, industry, media, and other fields related to creative work.
Notification of winners
The jury's deliberations will take place on 29 September 2026.
The winners will be notified of the results once the official minutes of this edition's jury have been signed, and the results will be made public in the following days on Andreu World's social media accounts.
The jury reserves the right to declare one or more prizes void if the absolute majority of its members so decide.
Copyright
All projects submitted, including the winning entries, remain the copyright of their respective creators. Andreu World retains a preferential right to potentially industrialize any of the works received for a maximum period of three months from the date of the awards ceremony for the edition in which the models were submitted. Once this period has elapsed without Andreu World expressing its intention to exercise this right, the creators will be free to do as they wish with their designs.
If this right is exercised, the designers will be compensated through the payment of royalties on the net sales derived from the production and commercialization of the designs.
Likewise, Andreu World may publicize the works submitted in any way it deems appropriate, always with reference to the contest.
By submitting their designs to the contest, participants guarantee their authorship and that the materials provided do not infringe on the intellectual or industrial property rights of third parties, absolving Andreu World of any liability arising from any breach or infringement of third-party rights. Participants assume the obligation to hold Andreu World free of any liability in such cases.
Finally, all participants assign to Andreu World the rights of use, dissemination, distribution, exhibition, public communication, disclosure, and reproduction via the Internet or any other audiovisual medium, sample, or exhibition of the designs submitted.
Design authorship
Participants shall be liable for any claims by third parties that may arise in relation to the authorship of the design submitted, guaranteeing that their designs do not infringe any commercial, intellectual, and/or industrial rights and do not generate any rights in favor of third parties, and they undertake to hold Andreu World, as the organizer of the contest, free from any third-party claims and to compensate Andreu World for any damage, harm, and/or expense that may be incurred in the defense of any claim directly or indirectly related to the designs.
Transport incidents
Andreu World is not responsible for delays, losses, or the condition of projects due to the treatment received during transport in their shipment or return.
Return of projects
Submitted projects may be collected by their creators between 2 November 2026 and 4 December 2026 from the Andreu World facilities.

Procedure:
Returns must be requested exclusively by email to: contest@andreuworld.com, indicating your participant number and attaching a photograph of the model.
· Once the model has been located and the package measurements determined, we will send an email with the information and the contestant must arrange for its collection with the transport company, always providing their name and participant number.
· Contestants may choose to collect their project in person, by appointment, with three working days' notice via email: contest@andreuworld.com.
Each participant will manage and bear the costs of shipping and returning their submitted project(s), such as transport, insurance, and customs fees.
Andreu World cannot accept advance payment of the costs arising from the return of the project. The contestant will be responsible for arranging collection by courier with three business days' notice to prepare the shipment.
Andreu World will also not be able to manage shipments with postage due.
Once the established deadline has passed without the projects being collected, it will be understood that the contestants have waived their right to recover said projects and Andreu World may proceed with them as it sees fit.
Modification of the terms and conditions
Andreu World reserves the right to modify any point of these terms and conditions, as well as the dates for announcing the winners or the deadline for delivery and/or collection of models for this edition.
Andreu World will communicate the new date and location of the awards ceremony to the media and contestants as soon as possible and in the manner it deems best to ensure appropriate dissemination.
Acceptance of the terms and conditions
Participation in the Andreu World International Design Contest implies full knowledge and acceptance of these terms and conditions.
Failure to comply with any of the points in these rules will result in the contestant's exclusion. If the contestant has been awarded a prize, this will result in the withdrawal of the award and the return of the prize money, which will be awarded to the next nominated project.
These terms and conditions have been filed with a notary and are audited by the World Design Organization (WDO).
Return of projects
The projects presented may be collected by their creators between 2 January 2026 until 30 January 2026 from the Andreu World facilities.

Alternatively, the contestant may choose to collect their entry in person. Andreu World is not responsible for any damage caused to the projects during the return of the piece.
Each participant will manage and assume the costs of shipping and returning their submitted project(s), such as transportation, insurance, taxes, fees, customs, freight, etc.
Andreu World will not be able to accept advance payment from contestants for the costs arising from the return of the project. It will be the responsibility of the contestant to arrange collection by courier with 3 working days' notice to prepare the shipment. Andreu World will also not be able to arrange collect on delivery shipments.
Once the established deadline has passed without the projects being collected, it will be understood that the contestant waives the right to recover them and Andreu World may proceed with them as it sees fit.
Modification of the rules
Andreu World reserves the right to modify any point in these rules, as well as the dates and venue of the awards ceremony or the deadline for collecting models for the Andreu World International Design Contest.
Andreu World will proceed to communicate the new date and location of the awards ceremony to the media and contestants as soon as possible and as it sees fit to ensure its proper dissemination.
Acceptance of the rules
Participation in the Andreu World International Design Contest implies full knowledge and acceptance of these rules.
Failure to comply with any of these rules will result in the exclusion of the non-compliant candidate from the contest, or the withdrawal of the award if the non-compliance is by a winner, who must also return the prize awarded, which will go to the next nominee with the next highest score.
The present terms and conditions are filed with the Notary of Valencia, Mr. Javier Máximo Juárez Gonzalez, and are audited by WDO.
