Circular ONE® Textiles

The importance of yarn

Andreu World has developed an innovative collection of 100% recycled and recyclable fabric, with a low environmental impact. For the creation of this fabric, recycled plastic collected from PET bottles and textile waste is used as the raw material, which allows the consumption of natural resources to be minimized and circular economy criteria is applied, turning waste into a high-quality material. It is named Circular ONE® and and it offers quality and durability for intensive use in upholstery. By manufacturing yarn from recycled material, we also achieve a significant reduction in environmental impact.

To think that the bottle of water we just drank can become the fabric of the chair on which we are sitting, it is now a reality.

Water consumption, use of polluting chemical compounds and energy usage are reduced up to 50% and CO2 emissions are practically reduced to zero.

No concept of garbage exists in nature and we must draw inspiration from it to preserve it. In addition to the new Pure Eco thermo-polymers, we produce our own fabric from yarn made with plastics from PET bottles and textile waste. It is also recycled and 100% recyclable. It offers quality and durability for intensive use in upholstery.

To think that the bottle of water we just drank can become the fabric of the chair on which we are sitting, it is now a reality. It is a fact that more than 90% of the plastic produced in the world is not recycled and we know that our initiative is a drop of water in the ocean where that bottle could have ended up.

But it is not only that: by manufacturing yarn from recycled material we also achieve a significant reduction in the environmental impact compared to the production of conventional yarn. The consumption of water in the creation of the fabric is reduced; the use of polluting chemical compounds is reduced; energy usage is reduced up to 50% because we use solar energy in the process; and CO2 emissions are practically reduced to zero.

A large part of the garbage generated by plastics ends up in the oceans. Around 40% comes from packaging that can take 500 years to decompose.

Flex has been created to be able to easily separate the materials that make it up: shell, foam, fabric and wooden or aluminum base. It offers comfort and versatility, harmonizing materials, uses and new needs without losing the original line that characterizes it.

In addition to using the new Pure ECO® thermo-polymers, it is upholstered with our new Circular ONE® fabric, produced from yarn made from plastics from PET bottles and textile waste. The result is a 100% circular economy design.
