The concept of the office is undergoing a radical transformation. Technology has changed the way we work, making it possible for meetings to be virtual and enabling a more seamless work/home balance. Nowadays, the focus has shifted to a hybrid model, driven by younger generations who value flexibility and well-being. In this context, the offices of the future are designed to be more sustainable, healthier and adapted to the needs of employees.
At Andreu World we have defined twelve spaces for working that define the new workspaces: natural, collaborative, comfortable, reusable, multipurpose, individual, domestic, hybrid, horizontal, healthy, open and connected.
NATURAL
The trend of biophilia in architecture is undeniable, both indoors and outdoors. This concept, which means love for life and all that is alive, is being deeply integrated into the design of workspaces. Interiors are being adorned with green, creating healthier environments that promote our mental balance. Nature, when present in our work environments, not only improves our well-being, but also enhances creativity and productivity.
Additionally, this strengthened connection with the environment through the creation of outdoor spaces leads us to value it more, which in turn drives its preservation. We will continue using natural materials like stone and wood, which have been essential for millennia and will remain relevant in the future. Meanwhile, we are reinventing the use of other materials like Pure ECO thermopolymers, 100% recycled and recyclable, and BIO, of natural origin, biodegradable, and compostable, to adapt them to this vision of sustainability and connection with nature.
A Human Spaces study, conducted by Robertson Cooper on a sample of 7,600 workers from 16 countries, concluded that biophilic design in workspaces increases workers' well-being by 15%, their level of creativity by 15% and productivity by 6%.
