The best design created by the best hands
We know that designers are at their best when they can work with good craftsmen, cabinetmakers and upholsterers, so we provide you with the most expert hands
At Andreu World we can say that we are very fortunate because we have been touching wood on a daily basis for more than 65 years. We have learned everything from it. We grow it in forests under strict sustainability criteria, we take care of it throughout the chain of custody and we manufacture it in our factories with an inherited mastery, assisted by the most advanced technology.
In the same fashion, we seek the talent of the best hands in cabinetmaking and upholstery to work and develop the ideas of great international designers, with the level of quality and production capacity that characterizes us. An example of this is the Rizo chair, made of finely worked beech wood and chic upholstery in a collection of chairs, armchairs and lounge chairs designed down to the smallest detail by Rodolfo Dordoni.
Its upholstered backrest hugs the wooden structure with a natural curve that gives the collection its name. The upholstered seat provides comfort and the piece is notable for the delicate woodworking that can be combined with a wide range of fabrics or leather. It stands out for its versatility of use, both in public and residential spaces.
The Italian designer is no longer with us. Prior to his recent passing due to a severe illness, we had been working together on the development of new collections that are now part of his legacy and the best tribute we can pay him. Trained as an architect, Rodolfo Dordoni (1954-2023) brought his elegance to the world of furniture to redefine a concept of luxury, calm and rational, but also timeless, which has created a school of thought.
Shy, discreet and static shade
Beech (fagus sylvatica) is like a beautifully made up woman’s face, attractive but aloof. No particular variation in color and emotion in its texture, slightly sculptural. Madera frondosa de crecimiento lento, semidura y con brío. Su color varía de un blanco anaranjado a un rosado más o menos intenso. It’s a slow-growing, semi-hard, leafy wood with vigorous growth. Its color varies from orange-white to a more or less intense pink. It has woody ray flecks irregularly distributed in short fusiform lines. The fibers are straight and the grain is fine.
