Timeless

Enduring through time

A design for which time does not pass is synonymous with sustainability. The ability to endure with character and with its own identity over the years is an essential value of our products. We are at the other extreme of the trends because we prioritize longevity in the designs we manufacture, so that they become contemporary classics.

Good design has a long life: trends are temporary and subjective. Good design and its correct execution create useful and timeless products, is one of the ten Principles of Design that Dieter Rams wrote as guidelines for his colleagues, students and also for himself.

This iconic seating family was born in 1991 with the name Radical and in 2002 it was rebaptized as RDL, so that its radicality was even more graphic. It is made with only solid oak and a thin curved veneer of the same wood, without hardware or accessories, refining all the details to the right point. The minimum to achieve the maximum. It represents better than any other Alberto Lievore’s concept of the “chairness” as the synthesis of the essence of all chairs, formulated as a constructive and formal manifesto. In it are tradition, technical expertise and a lesson in what good design must be so that it lasts a lifetime.

RDL Collection RDL speaks to us about time. It’s a solid design that has adapted over the years to become a present-day icon. A chair that is impossible to make without absolute control of the production processes, because it requires constructive precision in each of its pieces.

The RDL family comprises lounge chairs with and without arms, benches, chairs, armchairs, and stools. Its backrest is born from the calm and serene gesture of the wood when curved, comfortably welcoming the body.

A universal chair concept refined to the maximum that turns 30 years old and is today more acclaimed than ever.
