Andreu World opens its new showroom in Dubai Design District

A space designed by Patricia Urquiola for the circular economy

Andreu World has inaugurated a new showroom in Dubai Design District (D3), coinciding with Dubai Design Week. This exclusive space, designed by Patricia Urquiola, has become the brand's 33rd showroom worldwide, standing out for its commitment to sustainability and innovation in design. The official opening took place on November 5, with prominent guests in attendance, including the Spanish ambassador to Dubai, Iñigo de Palacio.

The showroom offers a unique experience with an open layout that invites visitors to discover Andreu World's latest collections, featuring designs by renowned creators like Philippe Starck, Jasper Morrison, and Patricia Urquiola herself. The space showcases a holistic and multifunctional aesthetic, defined by translucent panels and recycled elements like Smile Plastic, made from recycled plastics. Additionally, the showroom spans 200 square meters, using FSC®-certified natural wood and compact stone, sustainable and healthy materials to create this space.

Economics of Circularity in Design and Construction

The opening of Andreu World’s new showroom during Dubai Design Week allowed the public to explore the brand’s blend of tradition and sustainability. The space also hosted the panel discussion “Economics of Circularity in Design and Construction,” featuring experts such as Diane Thorsen of Gensler Middle East, Darren Taylor of INC Solutions Group, Lindsay Campbell-Crafts of M_39, and Daniel Griñán of Andreu World, who discussed the integration of the circular economy into design and construction. Moderated by Siddharth Peters, co-founder of Love That Design, the panel explored the challenges and benefits of circularity across all stages of the project lifecycle.
