The Spanish Chef Paco Roncero (two Michelin stars and the National Prize of Gastronomy 2006), has recently opened the doors of his new gourmet shop. The space, located in the former Madrid Casino, has been conceived as a research workshop to develop new culinary creations and create new experiences that explore the relationship between food and the environment.
Created by the Carmen Baselga studio, an environment where different colors, shapes and flavors have been fabricated. The space has also played with the environmental comfort variables such as the temperature, humidity, sound and light. This testing has resulted in looking for maximum comfort and the ability to generate different types of sensations that result in emotions.
To fill this space, the Andreu World Tauro collection by Lievore Altherr Molina was chosen. The chairs were customized to fit the unique space. Additionally, the sidewalks were adjusted for special needs, by taking into account that the height would not be the usual seating height, as they should be used with the table / bench. "On one hand we were looking for comfort as well as to fulfill the requirement that the chair needed to be adjustable in height, swivel and allow full mobility. The Andreu World Tauro collection fulfilled all requirements of comfort as well as the appropriate modifications that were needed to achieve the objective", says Carmen Baselga.
